This Privacy Policy explains how Nestwing LLC (“Nestwing,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Nestwing website, mobile application, and services (the “Platform”). It is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Who We Are and Scope

Nestwing operates a marketplace that connects travelers for companionship and parcel hand-carry across international routes. This Policy applies to all Users of the Platform. Because we operate across borders, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries (see Section 9).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide:

Account: email address, password, phone number.
Profile: legal name, display name, date of birth, gender, languages, home city/country, bio, and avatar photo.
Identity verification (optional): when you choose to verify your ID, our third-party identity-verification provider processes government-ID and related data and returns a verification result to us. We store the verification result and a non-reversible identity signal derived from it — not a copy of your ID document.
Listings and requests: routes, dates, flight details, traveler details you enter, parcel descriptions, and related coordination information.
Communications: messages you send through the Platform, reviews, reports, and support inquiries.
Payment information (if and when payments are enabled): would be processed by our third-party payment processor. We would not store full card numbers; we would receive limited transaction and payout metadata.

2.2 Information collected automatically:

Usage and device data: pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, and similar analytics, collected via our analytics and error-monitoring providers.
Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 7.

2.3 Information from third parties: identity-verification results from our verification provider; phone-verification results from our SMS verification provider; and, if payments are enabled, payment and payout status from our payment processor.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

create and operate your account and provide the Platform’s features;
verify identity and phone number and maintain trust and safety;
enable search, listings, requests, messaging, and reviews;
process payments and payouts (if and when enabled);
send transactional communications (e.g. verification, request updates, messages);
prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms;
analyze and improve the Platform;
comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EU/UK Users)

Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Platform); legitimate interests (trust and safety, fraud prevention, product improvement); consent (e.g. optional ID verification and non-essential analytics cookies, where required); and legal obligation. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described here:

With other Users, as needed to operate the marketplace. Other Users see your public profile (display name, avatar, city/country, languages, trust signals, and, once you connect on a request, the coordination details needed for the arrangement). Other Users do not see your email, phone, date of birth, or full legal name except as you choose to share.
With service providers who process personal information on our behalf under contract to help us operate the Platform — including providers of hosting and database infrastructure, identity verification, payment processing, SMS and email delivery, product analytics, and error monitoring. These providers may use personal information only to perform services for us.
For legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Users, the public, or Nestwing.
In a business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Some records (such as safety records and message history used as dispute evidence) may be retained longer where required. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and security, and analytics cookies and similar technologies to understand and improve usage. You can control cookies through your browser, and where required by law we will seek your consent for non-essential cookies.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

access the personal information we hold about you;
correct inaccurate information;
delete your information;
port your information to another service;
object to or restrict certain processing;
opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do neither) and of certain profiling;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, email privacy@nestwing.co. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also update much of your information directly in your profile settings. EU/UK Users may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

9. International Data Transfers

Nestwing operates across borders, so your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries whose laws may differ from yours. Where required (for example, for transfers out of the EU/UK), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, row-level database security, and restricting sensitive operations to server-side systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your account credentials and notify us of any suspected compromise.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g. by email or in-app) and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
