Common questions
Companionship
- Who can become a Companion?
- Any Nestwing member who is 18+ and traveling on the same route they want to help with. Phone verification is required; ID verification may be required in some cases.
- What happens if a Companion no-shows?
- Report it in-app and leave an honest review. Nestwing will review the incident and suspend the Companion’s account, and your review warns the next traveler. Repeat offenders are removed permanently.
- Is medical care provided?
- No. Companions are fellow travelers, not medical professionals. They cannot administer medication or provide medical assistance — only physical and language support.
Parcel
- What can I send?
- Legal items that meet airline safety rules and destination customs rules. The Sender-side checklist enumerates the common no-gos — drugs, weapons, undeclared currency, lithium batteries beyond airline limits, drones, aerosols, endangered species products, perishables that won’t survive the trip.
- Who handles customs?
- The Sender attests that the parcel is legal and accurately described before submitting a request; the Courier can inspect the parcel at pickup and decline if anything looks off. Nestwing is a marketplace — we don’t insure, ship, or represent parcels through customs.
- How much does it cost?
- Nestwing is free to use right now. You and the Courier coordinate the handoff directly in the app.
- What if the parcel is damaged, lost, or seized?
- That’s between the Sender and Courier. Report it in-app so the incident is captured in both parties’ accounts. Nestwing does not insure parcels; use a shipping company for valuables.
- Who can become a Courier?
